JOB SUMMARY
One of my clients has an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician in NJ or the Tri-State area. Position requires travel, good communication skills and includes Repairing, Troubleshooting, Modifying and Testing complex technical problems on industrial machine tool products for Customers. Services are provided to end user via telephone and or on site visit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Communicate professionally and effectively with customers via telephone
•Diagnose complex technical problems and perform on-site repair
•Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone
•Examine machines mechanically and perform repairs by dismantling machines and rebuilding mechanically
•Effectively interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problem products
•Document in detail product problems and resolutions
•Manage heavy inbound telephone load efficiently and in a professional manner

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•2yr Electronic or Technical Degree, or 2~5 years experience as field service in the machine tool industry a plus
•Skilled in Electrical measurement and inspection techniques (Voltmeter, Oscilloscope and other measurement equipment)
•Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems (Ballscrews, bearings, gearing and various way systems)
•Skilled in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques (Indicators, micrometers, gage blocks and optical comparitor.
•Working knowledge of how to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
•CNC programming skills
•Ability to operate computer using windows operating system
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced, team environment

SALARY
•mileage reimbursement
•Travel pay
•Competitive salary based on experience + Overtime paid over 40 hours.
